Hence, for 31 NITs, 20 IIITs, and 18 other Government Funded Institutes (GFTIs) list displayed on JoSAA website (Josaa.nic.in) will admit candidates on the basis of their category in JEE (Main)-2016 to the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture / Planning Programs through a centralized seat allocation procedure, for the academic session 2016-17.
Some Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs), and supernumerary seat for Union Territory list and North East Technical Institutes (NEUT) will admit candidates on the basis of their Rank in JEE (Main)-2016 to the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture / Planning Programs through a centralized seat allocation procedure, for the academic session 2016-17.

3. Seat allotment result – 29 July (10.00 IST) 2016

Central Counseling Board (CCB) and All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) has been renamed as Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and JEE (Mains) respectively. The CSAB for 2016 has been constituted with Director, National Institute of Technology Patna, as its Chairman.
